D-Day is often thought of as the day of days with the brutal amphibious landings on Normandy at dawn. But, hours earlier, the Allies launched a harrowing airborne assault deep behind enemy lines during the darkness of night.

- A limited number of more modern Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) replicas may be allowed if their numbers are balanced between the two factions. If you'd like to use one, you must contact Aussie in advance for approval.
FactionsYour faction will be determined on game day based on your preferences, your loadout/clothing, your experience level, your friend group, any local airsoft team affiliation that you may have, and our faction size goals:
Allies
Self-respawns: Gravesite, Pond, Upper Lot entranceRadio channel: 1 (462.5625 MHz)
Germans
Self-respawn: halfway between Campbell & HoodRadio channel: 2 (462.5875 MHz)
Radio CommunicationIf you have a two-way radio, keep it set on your faction’s radio channel. You may not monitor or transmit on the other faction's channel. VOX mode, hot mic-ing, and channel jamming are all prohibited. Please familiarize yourself with your radio and program in its channels before arriving at the field.
Dress CodeThis is not a strict reenactment. Many participants will show up with modern camo/clothing and equipment. We will provide you with loaner patches/armbands if your appearance doesn’t clearly indicate your faction. If you have anything, please wear clothing that somewhat resembles any of the military uniforms worn during the European theater of World War II. For an inexpensive WW2 helmet that looks decent, go online. If you’d like to be with the Allies, you are also welcome to wear a civilian partisan outfit such as the French Resistance. If you’d like to be with the Germans, you are welcome to borrow one of our loaner helmets:
No Spawn-campingYou and your faction are not allowed to stalk, surround, or fire upon the enemy self-respawn location(s). Likewise, they're not allowed to camp your self-respawn(s) either.
Campsite SafetyOnly staff who have been approved by the property owner may start and monitor campfires, but you may safely use your own grill or hotplate.
Quiet HoursLoud noises are strictly prohibited from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Therefore, you may not utilize bang grenades, loudspeakers, excessive yelling, and such during these quiet hours.
SituationParatroopers of the American 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions are to penetrate Hitler's Atlantic Wall and disrupt the German positions on the Cherbourg Peninsula in an effort to gain tactical and strategic advantages at the start of Operation Overlord.
Assassination ConfirmedThe Commanding Officer (CO), Executive Officer (XO), and every Squad Leader (SL) on each faction will be given a necklace with five dog tags that are to be kept on their person unless/until taken per the following rules. During their three-minute sit time after getting hit, they must give one of their dog tags to the first enemy who gets close enough to take it even if it wasn’t the shooter. They must remain seated for the full three minutes regardless of when the dog tag was taken. If no enemy gets to them within those first three minutes, they do not need to give up their dog tag even if they've decided to wait longer for a friendly player to respawn them in place. Captured dog tags should be saved and turned in to Game Control at endex for bonus minutes as follows:CO tag = 12 minutesXO tag = 6 minutesSL tag = 2 minutesIdeally, only one tag per officer may be captured per combat engagement. This means that each officer may use their discretion to refuse to give up more than one dog tag if they had already relinquished one during the same engagement regardless of how many times they were hit and respawned. With three SLs per side, this gives each faction the potential to earn up to 120 bonus minutes for confirmed assassinations.
ConquestBoth factions are tasked with capturing and holding the largest number of control sites for the longest period of time before the operation ends at midnight. There are five such control sites which are marked with purple flags on the following map and listed as follows:Adams (Sainte-Mère-Église)Bigfoot (checkpoint)Campbell (Carentan)Hood (La Fière)Main Bridge (causeway)To capture a control site, you must throw your enemy’s flag on the ground and replace it with your own as shown HERE. There’s no limit to the number of times that the flags may be flipped on a control site, but you’re not allowed to steal or hide the flags. In order to begin accruing minutes for your faction on the control site that you just captured, you must also use the Baofeng radio that is located at the control site to notify Game Control of the flip. Any delay in radioing the flip will delay the accrual of minutes. Up to 1,200 minutes may be earned for conquest. Each faction’s minute accrual will be started and stopped on Game Control’s smart phone. Everyone with an internet connection may monitor the scoreboard in real time through this URL: https://board.multitimer.net/view/?q=di990lj3o0
Starting PositionsThe Germans will start the game in control of all five sites and accruing minutes once startex is announced. They may have players positioned at each of these locations at startex per orders from their commanders. The Allies may start from any of their three self-respawn locations per orders from their commanders. For greater immersion, they may be transported to these locations by any admin-approved vehicles that may be available on game night to simulate C-47 drop zones.
Correlation to D-DayThe control sites held by the Allies at endex will give them the following advantages at the start of D-Day 2024 the next morning:Adams (Sainte-Mère-Église) = 4 to 8 players (squad) start at Logger's EntranceBigfoot (checkpoint) = 2 players (pathfinders) start at Echo BaseCampbell (Carentan) = 4 to 8 players (squad) start at Gully EntranceHood (La Fière) = 2 players (pathfinders) start at Pallet EntranceMain Bridge (causeway) = 4 players (fire team) start at any respawn treeThe Allied commanders at D-Day will specify which players get to take part in these special insertions.
GoalThere are a total of 1,320 minutes available during this operation. The faction with the most at endex will be declared the winner!
